The secrets by Osho

Man tries to invent a self for himself but invented self will never be real.No possibility that invention will be ever real. The real has to be discovered thus we human need to discover ourselves;i.e knowing WHO AM I?
The invented self image is ego.The real self is not ego.The real self is emptiness;complete emptiness;silence of emptiness;joy of emptiness.
If we invent a self we need to ask others-to know and gather what they think of us.We are doing this our whole lives. That is why it hurts and we are afraid of peoples' disrespect.

Efforts to self-discovery

Difference in nature is because of the faith in one-self.Therefore trust yourself, believe in yourself, thus we become great and have strength in ourself.Faith in ourself will do everything. The remedy for weakness is not looking, thinking over weakness but thinking of strenght.Vedanta says you are pure and perfect and calling us we are sinner does not belong to us.Never say i cannot or never say No because we are infinite.Even time and space is nothing compared with our nature. We are almighty because we can do anything and everything.
What makes us weak? What makes us fear? What frightens us?Stand up to be free and all powerfull.Know every thought or word that makes us weak is the only evil that exists in the world, therefore shun the evil thought that I am weak.
Virtue tends improvement and vice degeneration. We man are made of three qualities-brutal,human and godly....that which tends to increase divinity is virtue and that which increases brutality is vice. Therefore kill the brutal nature and become human,i.e. loving and charitable.
Religion helps only to take off obstacles and see our Self.
Obstacles-sickness is the first great obstacle;a healthy body is best instrument.Melancholy is insuperable barrier. If we know ourselves as Brahman, never after we can be melancholy.Doubt, wants, mistaken ideas are other obstacles.

Knowing Self

Metacognition or "self- knowing" includes the following aspects of understanding our "learning" selves:
Knowing our learning "style" and how we learn best in different learning situations.
Our recognition of differences in learning tasks and our ability to match the appropriate learning strategy to the task.
Our ability to monitor whether we are understanding and learning in a given situation or during the performance or a task.
When we know that we do not understand, recognizing the problem and identifying a different strategy that will be more appropriate to the learning situation.
Recently I read an advertisement that said, “Be different. Be yourself.”  It reminded me of a story I once heard about a lion who had been separated from his parents at birth. He grew up in a flock of sheep.  Because the cub believed himself to be a sheep, he behaved like one.  He was a lion in a sheep-trance.
The story of the lion is a bit like many of our stories.  We too are often in a trance.  We too seem to have forgotten who we really are.  And because of this mistake, we have identified ourselves with different images and ideas.  We have put on masks and have actually begun to believe that we are these masks. Of course it is impossible to be happy if you are a lion and live like a sheep.  The secret of getting to know yourself is that there is something inside you that is totally different from what you pretend to be.
“The only person who sets the limits to what you can do is yourself”

We always try to do things in a manner to please others.
Overcoming The Fear Of  Interaction Or Socializing

There are various activities that you are perhaps afraid of doing, but that you know they are very useful activities to indulge in e.g. if you are afraid of socializing or interacting with people, either on a one-to-one basis or in a group. In a party or a situation where lots are people are enjoying the company of each other or in a meeting with your boss for e.g., you feel out of place and uncomfortable. The problem might lie in a negative image of the self or low self-esteem, lack of confidence, fear of the other’s opinion about you, lack of spiritual strength, past failure in having done so, being influenced by the other person’s role or position etc. How do you overcome this fear? By interacting with more and more people. The more you interact and mix up with them and express your viewpoint fearlessly, you realize that it is not a problem. Even if you make a mistake or you feel unsure, with practice you will see that there is no problem.

Most of our fears are overcome with the practice of doing what you are afraid of. If you do not make a brave step forward in order to overcome the fear of expressing yourself, you will continue to be the victim of this fear. This fear is then a negative energy that paralyses your intellect as a result of which your concentration and your decision-making power reduces. It also disorganizes your ideas, and confuses you whenever you express yourself in front of a person or people. What is more, fear produces clumsiness in your words, body movements and actions and makes you lose your image of credibility. It gives an impression of nervousness and low self-respect to the other. You have to overcome it, and you will manage to do it with practice and by changing the vision that you have of others: they are not a threat, they are not judges who are going to pass a judgment against you, they are offering you the opportunity to express yourself. If you value yourself, you will not be afraid of not being appreciated by them and others will finally appreciate you. If you do not value yourself, the opposite will happen.
The evolution of anger.
We become a little irritated when we are stuck in a traffic jam and we getting late to reach somewhere on time, or we are not going to complete a particular task, as per our expectations or if someone whom we very well know decides to ignore us today, for some reason or the other. If this seed of irritation is watered, or in other words it is given the concentrated energy of our attention i.e. we continue with the irritation for some time, it slowly grows or evolves into frustration. Unless we take some constructive inner action to stop the growth of the frustration and we keep energizing it, it will grow or evolve into anger. And if this happens regularly and we are not careful, it will become a habit, a part of our personality, which we will finally come to believe is a natural part of your nature. We will even think we were born with it. That it is ‘in our genes’. Every time we become angry we cause the production of certain chemicals in our body and we also become addicted to those chemicals – then we look for people and situations which will give us an excuse to get angry so that we can have our daily dose of chemicals. We not only become attached to material objects, people, ways of thinking, beliefs etc. - we also become attached to our emotions like the emotion of anger. The regular secretion of these chemicals will finally kill our body. We don’t need to kill our body. We need to accept that anger is never ever productive, know that it is just not necessary to be angry with anyone or about anything, know that it is entirely our own creation and know that we can choose a different response. If we know and accept that, we will experience freedom from it .
I am not a human being in search of a spiritual experience but a spiritual being immersed in a human experience.

HOW TO BE HAPPY UNLIMITED

The reason to be happy is not be understood as I think it is almost necessary as is food when we are hungry, air when we need to breathe, smile to express joy, tears to express depression.A smile makes a lot of things easy for us to express or flatter, but how to get this smile naturally matters. If we are not smiling from the heart the real expression is missing, thus our heart feels a burden which we realize later when things do not go according to us.The search for happiness consumes our lives. Many of us continually postpone our happiness-indefinitely.It's not that we internally set out to do so,we keep saying ourselves by convincing ourselves. We say someday I will be happy if i get out of school, when i get a job, when i will get a house, when i have my car,.The reality is that its better to get happy now or never.
Nowadays we are not happy because we are very much dependent. We get more happy when we accept all near us as they are.Happiness is not dependent on other objects but we try to find happiness in them.Objects, possessions, gadgets are only designed to give us comfort not happiness.Happiness is a feeling, because physical comfort is different from emotional comfort. One thing everyone is looking for irrespective of what we are doing is happiness,by different means through objects, through people and reason is success, because we think success is happiness. The dependance happiness is not permanent. We believe we get happy by thinking that doing the act in perfect manner we will get happy.Happiness is our internal creation and not dependent on external object. The thinking that these objects make us happy is not the real happiness, suppose we think if we have the best car we will be happy, but the inner soul is not happy as the happiness is experienced by the physical body.Anything physical object gives us only physical happiness.
The reasons why we are not happy.
